1. Hillside Dog Park
The Dumbo doggie area in this expansive, expansive green area offers small hills covered in chips and wooden grass that dog friends can pass through, jumping and playing all day. Rover can also be watered in a baby pool, before dating the owner in a beautiful shade at the nearest picnic table.
2. Fort Greene Park
This is the ultimate choice for a dog with a lot of energy that really needs to be run. It is one of NYC's greatest parks, with opening hours from opening until 9 am and from 9 pm to closing, so your dog can feel the breeze in his feathers as he rides around the grassy hills with all his dog friends. There is also a fountain so you do not have to carry a bottle with you. Puppies and puppies are known to be here to be friendly, and attract many people without ever crowded. Humans can enjoy roaming the park or the nearby farmer's market on weekends.
3. Brooklyn Bridge Park Dog Run
If you live in the DUMBO area and you want to park a small dog that is quick and easy (read: clean) to let your puppy expend latent energy, this is the right place. The ground is made of rubber, so there is no mulch or dirt for your dog's foot droppings. As far as dog park culture, customers staying here tend to be very responsible and friendly. Run under the Brooklyn Bridge, so if your dog is very sensitive to the noise of the train, it is best to avoid this one.
4. Prospect Park Dog Run
The Pro Run Dog Run is a doggy dream stuff. A beautiful and wide-open room with opening hours from 5 am to 9 am and from 9 pm to 1 pm. Oh, and there is also a dog beach! The sand segment is roped off by a dog to get into the lake water and swim around a hot day. It also has showers and fountains, plus grasses make the paws cleaner than on soil or wooden chips.
5. McGolrick Park
Greenpoint is home to this beautiful middle dog park where owners are really wary about caring for their puppy. Maybe this is because of the many signs that guide the owner's behavior with directions like "If your dog digs a hole, fill it before you go" and "If your dog is partying, they should invite all the other dogs in the park." walk apart for small and large dogs, and a pet supplies store located near the Dogs District outside the park. McGolrick also offers abundant seats for owners and shade from the sun.
6. Herbert Von King Park Dog Run
The Bed-Stuy Garden is divided into two areas, but not separated by the size of the dog. The main area is larger and slightly more dirty than the wear of puppy legs. The smaller area is great if your dog has social anxiety or if you just want to play one-on-one catches. Many colors make this park cool in the summer, and recently received a new entrance fence. There is a bowl for puppies to drink but no water source, so be sure to bring a bottle!
7. Dyker Beach Park
This Dyker Heights Park attracts a lot of people because, well, the park itself is huge. It is divided into two parts, one for large dogs and one for small dogs, so pup-squeaks need not worry to be handled. There is also a fountain for doggos to keep hydrated, grassy parts for small terrain diversity and even super comfortable doggy-bag dispensers. Since the recent garden renovation, it has become a clean and pleasant place for your dog to get together with his squad.
8. McCarren Park Dog Run
This small annex to McCarren Park is almost entirely shady and offers a park bench for humans to sit and watch the puppies play. It offers a separate path for large and small dogs, and the soil is soft with wood chips. A large tank and bottle of water was offered, as did the tennis ball. The dogs here come from various training backgrounds, which can generate a bit of drama, but the game is small enough that your dog will always be visible.
